I recently daleted all the cash files on my system using ONYX, as I was advised to do this as a periodic maintenance task. After this Logic had to re test all the plugins and now Filterscape Q6 crashes the AU validation every time. I have tried deleting it and re installing but to no avail. Have you any suggestions?
I am running OSX 10.4.7 and Logic 7.2.2
Thanks

Hi, try a manual rescan in AUManager.
It's a known problem that only seems to occurr with .component files that have multiple AUs inside. It can also happen with Apple's own AUs, so I don't know what's going on there.
A manual rescan on the next day usually fixes the problem.
Cheers,
Urs

Preferably at midnight? With a goat nearby in case of emergency?Urs wrote:A manual rescan on the next day usually fixes the problem.

Yeah, weird huh? - Sometimes it has to be at the next day.
As I said, I don't know what the problem is about. Neither Apple nor Emagic could tell me either. The crash happens when closing the AU after *successful validation*. I brought it up several times as I am probably the only developer of multi-au-components (Filterscape, Zebra2, FishFillets), but Apple doesn't seems to be interested in investigating this.
Cheers,
Urs
