I suppose that means everything except your sax, guitars, near Godzilla-loud drums and your damned 4-channel '65 Marshal!?! C'mon, a tiny, littel sharky-warky is hardly going to be the straw that breaks this camel's back.runagate wrote:Due to my desire to keep everything in my PC I may try to emulate one somehow, which I doubt will work, and then I'll just make my analog cohorts get one whenever they're around making the sound of 90 space shuttles taking off.
Yes, that's right, a 1/60 octave wide filter is going to destroy your sound. The whole wonderous point of the thing is that it has virtually no audible effect on the sound, except to supress feedback.fred2112 wrote:The point is.....If a frequency feedback, its cause the area around the frequencies are to hi on the spectre.
On a PA properly tune, if a feedback come its defiantly cause you haven't tune the vocal properly(in normal situation).
The point is, do not let a a crappy berhinger machine notch 6 or 8 frequencies and degrade your vocal sound when you can use a gentle ''good'' eq with the proper 'Q' factor to do the proper correction.
Not if you're the headline act and you have access to the venue from midday, or if you just stand there and sing into a microphone on a stand, but if you're one of the support acts or you're playing a festival its a luxury you just don't get. I can get on stage anywhere, without a soundcheck and skream my lungs out into my distortion pedal with 100% confidence that I will never have to worry about feedback, no matter how loud the foldback is or where I run around on stage or in the audience with my hand-held mic........You don't need a feedback killer.....
You are an ignorant, blinkered sack of shit. It is an absolute godsend for me. When the hell am I ever going to be in a position where I get to tune a PA, or even where one gets tuned to needs even remotely similar to mine? Its just a big risk that I don't need to take.so if you need it then you need to learn how to tune a PA...or mix in live environment!!..........only good for conference and that kind of &%$#
Why? Have you ever used one? Even seen one? You obviously haven't seen the price because they are only US$99. But you got the "magic" part right, they are absolute magic.fred2112 wrote:Sorry if I'm going crazy but I really hate those 200 $ magic box !
