Is there anything I can wrap my vsti's with in fl studio that will get rid of that stall? Im using CTAF MultiFXVST for my synth edit vst's and they work fine. This is the only thing that bugs me lately with fl studio. http://www.kvraudio.com/get/1068.html

As Teksonik said:
That's the 'audio options' in FLStudio, not the synth. Go to options/audio settings and in the 'mixer' bit, untick the reset plugins... box."Note to FL Studio users: Make sure the setting "Reset plugins on transport" in the audio options is disabled for optimal performance".

Just by going to the synth's web page I can read that it's not SE, but (allegedly) optimized hand-written code.
I agree that the guy is nuts if he thinks he can wedge $200 out of my wallet for a random softsynth with no pedigree. It's hard enough for people to justify half that on a painstaking recreation of a beloved piece of vintage hardware.
No need to try to slander the synth by claiming it's SE. I don't know why that would be a slander anyway, since some of the most-loved synths are SE (eg. Drumatic). It uses highly optimized code and SSE instructions in order to reduce the CPU usage to a minimum. It will also automatically turn off any parts that are not used, to save extra CPU time.

I'm guessing all the .dat files are look-up tables for things linke the LFOs, oscillators, and apparently the polite demo voice.Teksonik wrote:Sylenth as in Silence? Synth Edit?

yes is a SE synth, cools tricks to hidden this.shamann wrote:What is it with you and Synthedit any way?Teksonik wrote:Synth Edit?
But, no, it doesn't appear to be made with SE (unless SE can display polyphony/voice management info with default modules (no it can't)). Not an awful sounding synth. I'm blasé about synths these days, and this doesn't really take me out of that frame of mind, though.
but you can dump the core dll and retrieve code fragments
original and suprising sound, but at this price i prefer
to wait and buy some low cost hardware synth (micron, novation, sh etc)

Yes was a symphonic rock band, not a SE synth.
How can it cool tricks, does it freeze the SynthEdit framework?
</PickyLanguageMode>
And who cares weather it's a SE creation or not, as long as it sounds nice and functions as to be expected...

If it turns out it is an SE synth, i'd be more impressed rather than less.BertKoor wrote:<PickyLanguageMode=on>novaflash wrote:yes is a SE synth, cools tricks to hidden this.

How do you manage the number of polyphonic voices from the plugin GUI in SE using default modules then (since there are no .sep/.sem files with this synth)?novaflash wrote:yes is a SE synth, cools tricks to hidden this.
Last I checked, you can't. Which would mean this is not made with with Synthedit. Also last I checked, SE did not require SSE support. Synthmaker does, but not Synthedit.

Yeah, me too, since this appears to do things that SE can't (for example, recognizing double-clicks to centre controls, polyphony management from the GUI, and a reasonable reverb using default modules at virtually no CPU cost). If this is made with SE, this guy is its king.Reverse Engineer wrote:If it turns out it is an SE synth, i'd be more impressed rather than less.

to manage poly #, i suppose you should "manualy" clone the internal routing ?shamann wrote:How do you manage the number of polyphonic voices from the plugin GUI in SE using default modules then (since there are no .sep/.sem files with this synth)?novaflash wrote:yes is a SE synth, cools tricks to hidden this.

there are some custom modules with SSE.shamann wrote:Last I checked, you can't. Which would mean this is not made with with Synthedit.

check the the dll, use an hex editor like ultra-edit, find SEM, there are many
SE resources exported from SE (or you can see that with something like "resource hacker").
but it's not the topic, i suppose it's better to continue in modular synthesis forum

I've never seen any SE synth that produces sound, quality wise, like this VST does. Like said before, if this is done with SE, then the author is SE's king
