No, seriously, you missed my point. All I said was if you WANT to do super clean acoustic jazz, you might not use to much saturation. If you don't want, then use it like you feel... matter of taste imho.
All I intended to say is that I think it's not a good idea to generally use saturation on every track, because the musical style has also something to do with it... it's not that this kind of technique improoves generally a mix, but those mixes that should sound warm, a bit dirty/muddy. That's all...
