Will have to dig out my dust covered K2000 to try it out. Seems a shame to use it as a controller only, but I can't bear to work on a tiny, hardware synth display any more.marzzz wrote:now if we can only convince someone to do a PolyAT keyboard again.....!

Hehe. I've really only been hanging onto it because of horrible sentimentality. Memories of crap gigs etc.... Anyway, I should drop the hardware criticism before a flame war begins.

Well, there's always one good thing about those hardware synths: The Zebra2 Dinosaur Crossgrade

Yeah, I didn't think my K2000 was old enough for that, so I didn't bother with the crossgrade. Z2 is more than worth the full price anyway.
I could still get a photo of me trying to flush it down the toilet though, if you want it for your gallery

Sorry gbles, but I don't think the K2000 keyboard transmits PolyAT. The only ones I know of are the Kurz MIDIBoard, Roland A-50 and A-80, various Ensoniques, GeneralMusic S2 and S3, and (perhaps-only internally?) the Prophet T8. If there are any others I would love to know!gbles wrote:Will have to dig out my dust covered K2000 to try it out. You're right. I just got home and plugged it in. Its mono aftertouch only. Still cool, but not as good as poly. Hmmm, noticed that my pitch bend wheel is screwed up. It gives a nice warbly sound as the pitch drifts everywhere when I use it. Oh.... and my mod wheel is goofy too.... I guess its almost a dinosaurmarzzz wrote:Sorry gbles, but I don't think the K2000 keyboard transmits PolyAT.

These are correct, but VERY (>$10K?) expensive! The others (except the T8) can be had for under $1000US. I understand the Synclavier keyboard is directly from the T8.beej wrote:And add the Synclavier and DX1 to the list...

Synclavier? Isn't that Swedish for boat anchor?
You'll do better with a laptop, Novation controller and NI's KOMPLETE... + Zebra2 of course. Insert DAW of your choice. Trust me, I used to move one of these babies for Laurie Anderson and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Synclavier seems to still have support, and damn those things are big systems! I understand that Eddie Jobson is currently using THREE of them in his studio....
So Urs, how's it going?

The patches are almost all there. A small bunch of 50 more arrived two days ago, and these have to be put in (Tas, I'll send them today). I know that there are more to come, but I think these will have to be put in separate downloads then. Tas is doing a great job in adjusting their volumes, making sure they run optimal, stick to naming conventions, all the stuff...marzzz wrote:So Urs, how's it going?
Other than that... Havn't had a look at the manual lately. Hope my ghostwriters did a good job...
In the meantime I just had to settle a bit. After all the last minute hassles, there was the deep wish to do something *fun*, and so there's another plugin about to be released soonishly (one that I had been working - discarding - working - start overing for several years now), and a quicky for the KVR Developer Challenge.
So, in October you can expect 3 u-he plugin releases!
Cheers,
