Thanks! I can't wait to try them out.

That's awesome Okke and relayer! If you make anything with them I'd love to hear it.

----Bump for a HUGE amount of great raw sound samples from Genetic_Junk, get'em while he's feeling generous :)

----Hey, I noticed you added the garage door samples, thanks :) They weren't quite as noisey as I'd hoped I must admit. Was that an automatic garage door, like with the chain and motor system ? That's the kind I was really hoping for, maybe something you'll run across in the future, a really rusty noisey one, but thanks for the ones you did get, all weird samples are appreciated :)

It's a broken automatic. I had to pull the door down. It would be sweet if I could find an old automatic that worked. I would set a couple mics up by the chain near the ceiling and a couple mics close to the door. Record the tracks simultaneously.

The ones I put up are better than nothing though. Suggestions are always welcome, and not taken as a criticism. Thanks for the idea. :)

----So close and yet so far. :hihi:
----It's cool, I appreciate the effort, and I'm sure it's stuck in your head now, someday 15 years in the future, you'll come across a rusted out noisey as hell automatic garage door that just crunks closed like a guillotine, and you'll record it with a smile. :)

It has to sound like a dirty guillotine clunk. Well I hope some use comes out of what we already have. Gotta go finish my essay.

Always appreciate your comments Jeff.

----Well, no, that's just how I was picturing it ya know :hihi: Like I said, it's all good, yer one of the few guys out there bringing us any raw field samples, and high quality ones at that. I feel like yer only cheerleader, but I'm sure other people appreciate the samples too, they're just too lazy to post I guess, not me, I'm placing orders for "dirty guillotine clunks" Seriously, though, you and Speed are like the main supply on K-v-R here, and probably 1/2 the internet for high quality off the wall field recordings, and I for one appreciate it. :) (I haven't had time to go and chop bits out of that huge list of them from 2-3 weeks ago, you should take a break or something, yer getting ahead of me ha-ha)

I sample because I like listening to and mangling sounds. I share them hoping they will be useful to others too. If someone like you gives me feedback, then that just makes it more worthwhile.

I'm slowing down because of these all crazy essays I have to write.
