hi not long ago i started a thread for the same question and i recently read one by someone else but i still am not satisfied
the only one that was recommended to me that worked and sort of did what i wanted was haydn's cclfo
the problem i have is, even though the lfo is at the same tempo as the host, they are not synced. this makes it sort of useless if u want to use very slow lfo waves and actually have it add something to the groove rather than screw with it.
also, 'depth' slider is very limiting.
there should be two sliders that control the ceiling and floor
isnt there something like reaktors automation lfo as a vst?
thanku

lfo-effect? what do you mean? chorus, flanger, vibrato, tremolo ...? an lfo in itself is not an effect. however, in my lfo-based effects, you can trigger the lfos via midi-events because i also think, that it is quite pointless to have a syncronised lfo when it is essentialy free-running

He meant LFO MIDI plugin that you can route to any plugin CC.
Dunk have an 8LFO plugin here:

And there is also this one from NicFit:

hey PTV
had already tried both those plugs in the past
the 'dunk' does not sync the lfo like i described in the original post, it just copies the tempo.
the nicfit one crashes my computer instantly whether i load it as an instrument or effect. i am using cubasesx... anyone know why it might be doing this, and can someone confirm whether it truely syncs to the tempo?
i find it really odd that there isnt a pluggin that does this properly. it seems like one of the most basic midi utilities there is and the code work is trivial...
scuzzphut: i dont want THAT much control of the waveform - its not about variety, its about precision and practicality. if u have ever used midi automation in cubase u will know why i think this is important. why do u think they put lfos in any synth when the parameters are automatable aswell?

logics built-in synths had good synced lfo:s which were most useful. not really longed for them until now, as i'd want to do some mr oizo-style synced-lfo-playing.
i'd do it in my hosts automation if i'd just want synced sweeps or pretty simple low frequency oscillation, but i want to play and record realtime the playing of the sync ratio like something like in mr oizo - analog worms attack etc ..

There is a host syncable MIDI LFO from soma or NicFit. It's freakin' perfect, syncs perfect, plenty waveforms, phase selection, and can be linked to any parameter that accepts automation. No fancy stuff, just gets the job done tight.

hm btw it just occurred to me that you have to play the song from the beginning every time you want to listen to the lfo fx to get it right, if you reset the lfo only in the beginning of the song.
wouldn't it be great if it had continuous tracking of the song position? :D
...
HM!
or then you could just use the plugin to write the automation data to your host. that way you could edit it manually also, if you like.
nice
can't wait to try THAT out =)
