For Zebra 2 and Triple Cheese, Mac users get both a set of AU and VST presets. If you plan on using both (depending on the host), do you need to install both sets? If only one, does it matter which one?
(For Zebra 2, I included both. Since I mostly use the AU, I put the VST presets in a subfolder.)

If you follow the little manual you will see the explanation on page 2.
All of those presets show up from within Triple Cheese's preset browser in both the AU and the VST version.
Cheers

If you mainly use a VST host, just use the .fxp ones. If you mainly use an AU host, take .aupreset. The hosts only see the respective native preset format. However, it doesn't really matter which ones you choose, as you can load both formats from within its user interface.
