Any news on NI Komplete Installer for Receptor?

Now would be a good time, since Komplete4 is about to hit the streets. I'd like to upgrade from K3 to K4 just to get Akoustic Piano (mostly), but I'm sure I won't get an actual Akoustic Piano serial number, just a K4 one.

Last I heard, you were "working on it"....

?

thanks!

What are our thoughts on Komplete 4? What I mean by that is that they have dropped Kompakt and even though I have Kontakt II, I wanted to get Komplete 3 for Kompakt as an easy to go to sound source that plays nicer than Kontakt.
I know the samples in Kontakt are better, but the lighter Kompakt samples enables us to use low buffers (32/64) for live use. :dog:

At the risk of getting flamed, I will repeat that we are working on it. We really and truly are, and we are also waiting for more info on K4 so that that will be supported VERY soon after K3.

I think the dropping of Kompakt is a bummer. I will continue to use it. I really like using it for drum multis using 8 outputs. I really thought they would update it to be able to play Kontakt2 samples, or at least offer some kind of "Kontakt Player" as a replacement (since it seems to be the OEM replacement for third-party sample instruments).

I'm getting Komplete4 mostly for Akoustic Piano and the updates to FM7 and Absynth. But without the Komplete installer for Receptor, I won't be able to use ANY of these since they won't ship with individual serial numbers (I reckon I can beg NI for them again :-()

*cheers* I am glad to hear it. Because I will be getting Komplete 4 soon as I'm eligible for the free upgrade cause I own Komplete 3 and Komplete Care 2006. If I could use all those great instruments on my receptor.... I would be really happy!

All our installers are free, but you need to have a valid installation license left on your Native account...

Okay gang, I got the engineer whose TOP PRIORITY is to get this running standing in front of me. He's talking faster than I can type... typical.

Okay, here is the latest, and I quote:

"It turns out that installing Komplete 3 (0r 4) requires running the installer from the DVD. We are having to develop a technology to do this on Receptor. That technology is well under way, as of today, you can run the Komplete 3 installer service center but there several areas that need tightening up and cleaning up, as this is a process that cannot fail or the authorization will be bogus. Our initial time estimates assumed that we could install Komplete in the same way as, say Kontakt 2, with a user installable rpm file, but is it turns out, this assumption was wrong. It is my top priority, I'm working on it as hard as I can, and I really really really want it done as badly as the customers do."

He then let out an exasperated sigh, and I had to send him out of my office quietly sobbing to himself.

There you have it. Joking aside, he is working really hard on it. Sadly though, I won't be able to show it at AES... sigh.

A big thumbs up for keeping us informed.
Someone buy this engineer a beer. :D

Cheers
