Hi again
I think I could not make myself clear about randomization. I wuold like freeamp to choose the effects etc. I dont that can be done in cubase. Level and the whole schabang.

Cool!!
And actually, if possible I'd love to be able
to use this skin with GTune outside of Freeamp. That is
if it would be alright with you Joe and Graham?
Cheers....CL

You can create random Freeamp presets in Chainer's Preset Lab
but I've got to warn you....this can be VERY dangerous!!

xtp wrote:any chance of it being skinnable with the 1.5 skin as an option.
Can for sure at least make the background skinable though.
BTW Sorry had to do it! for a peak of some of what might be in FreeAmp3 check out my entry to the KVR developers challenge http://www.kvraudio.com/developer_challenge.php
Plugins name is Drive5, its a drive pedal, preamp with NO speaker emulation! designed to be ran through a convolution plugin with a speaker cabinet "Impulse Response" loaded.
Add what ever VST plugin chain you want before or after the amp.
Please while you are there check out the other entries, and take the time to vote. Lots of good developers in the list, they deserve the support.
Let me know what you think of the tone?

Hey I liked Drive5. Where do I find an appropriate cab IR? Any free ones?

@xtp - Thanks! I though no one liked my UI
If I have time I will look into making different skinned versions. No need to duck here everyone has been pretty mellow in there replies
Thanks Capn! for the link to the speaker IR's, talk to you soon.
matthew - thanks! I think I can even make the dynamics better and create many more interesting amp types, then I want to look at making a slew of clean amps added also.
Thanks all

I didn't read this whole thread, but here's what I'd ideally want in an ampsim on top of all the stock features:
1 - Allow for multiple mics on the same cabs at varrying distances with an option for on/off axis.
2 - ALL the channels of multi-channel amps. Not just a Boogie mega-distortion, but also the other channels. This would include modelled Vibrato channels on Fenders, etc.
3 - Mix and matching of preamps with EQs a la Amplitube 1.
4 - Amp Bypass (maybe I just want the sound of a mic'd cab).
5 - Tube types. How cool would it be to have a few options as to which types of tubes you'd want in.
6 - Mic Options - I want SM57's, MD-421's,U47's, an e609's, and Royer R121's. You can never have enough variety in this department.
7 - No effects! I don't care. I just want the best possible sounding amp sims and would hate to see development time on that taken away for the sake of effects.
8 - Bass and Keyboard Amps and Cabs - Bass amps and cabs would be a must, but no one does keyboard amps and their cabs. I wouldn't mind having that Roland Keyboard amp everyone uses as an option.
9 - Good strobe tuner.
BTW, earlier in the thread someone said open it up. I think what they meant, is that, at least when playing clean some amps are extremely dynamic and responsive to picking (a Fender Twin comes to mind). They're almost startling to play at times, because of just how dynamic they are. I think that often gets overlooked on clean sounds in amp sims. Anyway, that's it for now.
