Just curious with the new news item.

I did a bit of a search and found some posts indicating that it was either not good, was involved in multiple spamming escapades and/or contained adware.

I'm a bit relunctant to download just at the moment due to that, but curious if anyone has had good experiences with it.

I think Whiterabbyt had some issues with the developer. That's all I've ever noticed anyway.

I think there was an issue with breaking the GNU Public Liscence or some such thing.

I think the fact that he's been banned from KVR under at least three different names might indicate that its slightly more than that.

I think the thread got started because there's an announcement about GOMP in the news section. Dont assume that because I respond to something that mentioned me by name that I care about the plugin.

OK - read it all.

Pity - the product idea itself looks very interesting to me.

The spreadsheet implementation approach might not be the best, but the concept is quite good I think.

A high-level midi scripting plug-in would be very cool.

I guess I'll wait until something like this comes up from someone a little less controversial.

I'm so old school - I still remember the days when KvR didn't have an "Effects" forum. I should have searched that forum and put this post there.

If a Mod can be bothered, can this post be moved to the correct forum?

way, way back in the day, there was a midi sequencer based on modules. i think it was called "keys". the programmable modules would do diff things with notes. there was even a bounce around module. maybe someone knows what happened to this or has a copy.

It sounds a bit like you've merged KeyKit and Building Blocks into a single memory.

Does anyone use GOMP?
