Yeah, that's kind of what I thought. I've aleady had my fun with Echo's discontinued cards, and for that money, no thanks. I was just reading somewhere that Lynx was the most stable card on the market, good to hear confirmation. MS Vista and OSX are still apples and oranges despite the useless fanboy banter about which O/S copied which feature from which other O/S at what past point in time or did it first. That aside, even if Vista didn't have anything 'new' over OSX, it doesn't matter, for over 90% of the worldwide desktop operating system market share is Windows O/Ses. Apple continues to not be able to break past the 3 to 4% worldwide desktop O/S marketshare mud they're perpetually stuck in. Despite Intel CPU's in macs now, companies aren't all of a sudden buying Macs just to run Windows on a cute piece of hardware. Analysts predict over 400 million copies of Windows Vista sold in first 18 months on the market. Btw, C4 is pretty nice, but be warned there are some thing people will really hate. And so it goes...
Well, one thing that I really have a problem with is how C4 handles subfolders. Dunno if you followed the thread, but VST 3 does not recognize your folder strcuture. The way the pulgins are ordered is based on the code used in the plugin itself.
I have many plugins, and I've grown to rely on my specific ordering. The new standard effectively adds a new top-level layer to all existing plugins. This is really slowing me down, and hurts usabilty.

And then there is dropping Direct X with no advance notice...
But I can say the new plugins are very nice (new compressors and EQs are quite a step-up from previous version), and the synths are definitely not throw away...
