The latest delay works perfectly on my system now. I'm having fun turning drum loops into flanged robotic sounds.
The chorus still doesn't work. It loads ok but on playback there is a glitch and then no sound. The track meter shows an overload of audio.

I have the same card so that's probably why we get similar results. Mine is AGP 8X.ddummer wrote:same as my problems.....

just checked wikipedia for your graphics boards. Unfortunately, they don't support Pixel Shaders 2.0b and therefore are unable to run the chorus
I'm sorry.
AGP 8x is better but has nothing to do with features, only with bandwidth (the number of possible instances)

Thanks for the very useful link.
You're not going to believe this but nearly all the NVidia GForce FX cards are PS2.0b.
What a f**king bummer!
The moral of the story - don't buy ATi cards if you want to run these plugins. Otherwise you're going to have to pay twice as much for an ATi card to run GPU plugins that run on an NVidia card costing half the price.
I'm seriously pissed off that I bought ATi now.
I'll try to compile a list of all PS2.0b cards.

Does it make a difference whether the card has a 64bit or 128bit memory interface?
The NVidia GForce 6xxx have 64bit and the 7xxx have 128bit memory interfaces. If it's going to make a difference then I'll spend a bit more for a 7xxx.

I'm not sure if that affects GPU plugin development. It would be helpful to have a list of video card features that help GPU plugin development so that those of us wanting to upgrade can choose the best card within our budget.Warmonger wrote:I know it's contrary to your experience, but the ATI SM3.0 cards will have substantially better dynamic branching performance than Nvidia cards when that feature is used.
