Hi Urs

Work of art. Well done for waiting until it was ready :D

Ermmm, two little things ...

zrev and zebralette are not in the AU packages on the website.

Zebra2 version number is showing 0.95 not 1.0, though maybe you intended that given what you said above about not rolling in final changes yet.

Cheers Urs

Just install Zebra2.component - everything is inside of that, no worries :)

Ah .... right, because I had the beta installed I didn't realise that it had 'overwritten' them.

Cheers

Just got my codes as I was loading up the latest version for a quick run through of presets - that's timing for ya! ;)

I've got to say, it sounds, feels and plays better than the old preview versions. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in, now that there's lots of features implemented that were requested throughout the whole preview phase.

(Oh, and thanks for the individually organised *.aupresets - I especially love you guys for this. The *only* way to fly in Logic... :)

I'm finding many presets quite inspirational. It looks like the patch guys have really got a feel of Z2 over the preview phase - a lot of the simpler, more metallic stuff has made way for some really beautiful sounds and textures. The only slightly disappointing thing with some of the sounds (although I've only gone through a few so far) is the lack of expression controls built-in - remember to make sure that (at least) velocity, the mod wheel, aftertouch and XY pads all do something suitable, patch guys!

In any case, a public thanks to Urs for the effort he's put in over the past two years and to a successful launch.
Zebra Two has arrived! ;)

A-Wooga!!

Guilty.

The Random XY patch in the Scripts bank can magically create interesting settings for XY-pads, though. Very useful for such a simple thing.

There are so many little touches that make this Synth incredible. Watching the XY meters move is wonderful! With Zebra 2, you've made an instrument that will inspire for years!

Congratulations Urs.In a few words... Astonishing! piece of work and a tremendous achievement. You sure know how to spoil a synthesist. I pinch myself sometimes to remind me that Zebra 2 is real when I hear and play with it.

The same is happening with me. Quad Powermac (not mac-intel), Mac OS X 10.4.7. Any further discoveries?

Could it be that you have it installed twice? - Once in the local components folder and once in your user home directory?

Puzzled here, it all seems fine both on PowerPC and IntelMacs...

I have been anxiously waiting for this upgrade. Is there an upgrade path for people who bought Zebra 1 or 1.5?

Yes. I have sent out notifications yesterday, but maybe I have an outdated email address of yours. Just send me an email to urs at u-he dot com and I'll set you up with the details (it's $20 8) ).
