Well, the reason being I've just been spending some quality time with several other quality softy synths and an oscilloscope, comparing them with Z2 and creating some oscillator templates to match as closely as I can.
So I'm saving templates like "Namebrandsynth Sawtooth" etc
One things for sure, I'm learning some interesting stuff, and Z2's oscillators are bloody good...

Yes! Please share :)
Great tip site that logicquicktips btw. Sad a lot of it don't work in Logic Express. I'm feeling I have to upgrade to Pro, for those small life important features that just makes your day smoother.

I'm absolutely loving this synth!
some of the finest sounds i've ever heard coming from my monitors I reckon
A wierd thing happened today though, when i loaded up an old project in cubase (sx3) all my midi channels were assigned to zebra2, when only one of them was meant to be ... I don't know if this is a zebra bug or a cubase one. but it's not too major anyway
Congrats Urs on the best softsynth going around

Yes, we need a patch/osc/env file sharing area for registered users in general!
Could even be old skool ftp!

I assume you are on a mac... if so, you can use the 'clear' key to close the text window

You assumed correct. It's fn+6 on my MacBook Pro. Never heard about the 'clear'-key, but I guess that's the box with an 'x' inside. Luckily I could save my Live set and my patch, before I force-quitted. Thanks for the help, guys.

Good thing is, my contact at Ableton is back from vacation. I'll send him a list of all 3 major issues with Z2 in Live 6 first thing tomorrow!
Cheers + fingers crossed,

Got a quick q. How do you create your own bank to save presets in? By default, they only save to "Local" and I can't figure out how to change it.

Just create a directory here:zircon wrote:Got a quick q. How do you create your own bank to save presets in? By default, they only save to "Local" and I can't figure out how to change it.
C:\Program Files\u-he\Presets\Zebra2\ (Win)
MacHD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2/
Then, re-open Zebra's gui, go to Zebra's preset browser (click "Presets" on top left), select that directory and it saves presets there...
Cheers,
