Really? I don't really like the editing on the HDR systems. Maybe just personal preference, but what do you like about it, and what can it do that Tracktion can't already do? I just personally don't like it.stephengardner wrote:HDR style editing would nice

Man, I HATE it how Mackie thinks that telling us about T3 is going to help! It just keeps people up at night dreaming and drooling and sleeping through their alarms!
Curse you Mackie!!!! CURSE YOU!!!!!!!!
Better?

Do you mean that you can automate tempo changes for the entire edit througout the duration of the edit ala Ableton Live or Melodyne?Beno wrote:This is easy now with the new Global Track. Tempo is now node based and you can do everything with tempo that you can with automation nodes/curves. Time Sig and Tempo Changes are events on the track independent of tempo.MADatGOD wrote:I really, really hope they've implemented some sort of convenient way to copy/paste/delete/edit/move time sig and tempo changes. The way it is now is a nightmare with a complex song.

If so, you all must have completely scrapped the old time stretch/pitch shift algorithms. I mean, as horrid as they sounded on ONE CLIP, just imagine how that would sound on a complete edit!
That would be amazing though if T3 pulls it off. It would mean I don't have to take my edits out of T2 and bring them into ProTools in order to Serato Pitch n' Time them!
But, being able to do somthing and doing it well are two different things. I'm keeping my finger crossed, but I've still got my cash set aside for Pitch and Time Pro.
Any tentative release date yet?
Oh, by the way, LOVE the light pastels on gray color scheme going on. It's so... "very Apple" and easy on the eyes. It realy looks the business.

Do you mean you don't already know that T3 will feature a new timestretching algo (Elastique Efficient)?IRBY wrote:Do you mean that you can automate tempo changes througout the duration of the edit ala Ableton Live or Melodyne?

It's a commercial timestretching algo that is used in Live, FL, and a ton of other mainstream apps. Very nice timestretching.
So yes, the timestretching has been MAJORLY improved!

Here SOME INFO at the zplane site, developers of this algo. It's the same one used in Ableton Live.IRBY wrote:"Elastique Efficient"?spacefox wrote:Do you mean you don't already know that T3 will feature a new timestretching algo (Elastique Efficient)?IRBY wrote:Do you mean that you can automate tempo changes througout the duration of the edit ala Ableton Live or Melodyne?
