Receptor good for plugins but what about DAW's?

Does the Receptor power the DAW apps like Cubase etc. as well as the plugins or does your computer have to take the heat for recording?
What do you get when you cross an elephant with a rhinoceros? Elefino! Ba do symbol crash!
