Clearly you are tying to kill me with your awesome might!

:tantrum:

I will indeed try this out.

Post

What seems to differentiate this from acidome is:

1) mono mode
2) retrigger
3) glide (wicked!)
4) sub FM (which sounds great btw)
5) the trancegate can be switched to do pitchmod instead, which is seriously fun though I'm not sure I grok the implementation

All in all it sounds evil and luscious.
I certainly didn't find anything wrong with it but if I find a bug I'll let you know. Is there a time out? I made substantial headway into making a song with it without encountering one.

many thanks for the report, for this one I wanted to try a side evolution of some Acidome modules,
surely Acidome is a more original synth than Acilead,
but I think this can do some quick jobs quite well, <wink>,
I mean it's more for standard VA sound morphing, usual but always nice riffs with sweeping filter, or arpeggios with staccato detuned synth..., Acilead can be a quick and dirty (in the good way) alternative to many VA synths, it has its own fatty character IMHO,

here is list to compare the two

Code: Select all

compare: Acilead - - - - - - - - Acidome

file updated with a new version with Sub octave switch
and a few changes in the filter, same link above

I agree that it has a great VA tone - enough to snap my head around.

Didn't notice the velocity sensitivity the first time around. It is indeed very little work to get wicked lead sounds out of acidlead. Come to think of it I would say it sounds, to me, not so much like a VA but what I've been looking for in a "digital has evolved beyond what's good about VA" with those sick, sick filters.

Post

Velo sensitivity has been updated now, new file up,
also added other GUI stuff,
with the feature to colorize the background and save the colour with the preset,

here a few examples

liqih, would you please stop being so frakkng brilliant, dammit!!!????!!! :x

hi john, as I bought Synth Maker I have to use it someway, <grin>

Post

hey man, I just happened upon this thread and I am really liking what you've got going on in this project so far.
My feedback thusfar:
-You need to use the same visual indicator on all the horizontal button sliders. Currently it appears to only be used on the FX2 section. :(
-the 16-piece envelope generator is totally kickass! However, only amp and pitch as destinations? would it be possible to use this to modulate other stuff? Obviously Filter Cutoff comes to mind, but I'm sure other destinations would be super fun as well. You could use a drop-down box selector in the space instead of the toggle switch.
-Maybe a little text label above the Presets section.
-The Color select controls are freaking GREAT!!!!

I wanna maybe contribute some presets for this, as this synth rocks already :)

Post

HAHAH you can control the GUI color via MIDI CC :D

yes that's exactly what I added one hour ago, <grin>
a menu instead of the Amp - Pitch switch,

but I don't get what you mean with
"use the same visual indicator"
may explain please?
[edit] I see it's the green led in the switch, right?
yes the GUI is not finished,
-Maybe a little text label above the Presets section.
saying what?

thanks, I made if for fun!, <grin>

would be great, but please only as TXT format, the one you save by the File menu in the synth editor

really nice fat sound , i really like the pitch option , the ability to change the colour well maybe for fun
but in fl studio 6.4 don't change the presets cause it will cut all the sound (maybe it is a problem with fl studio 6.4 beta as we have the same problem with foorius and they daid they were going to fix it )
