eqkiller works exactly how you want.

Not exactly but sounds pretty cool.. It's probably more of what I'm looking for though. Ever use a DJ mixer and you have those kill nobs/switches/buttons.. Thats what I'm lookin for in VST form..

FreqEqBoy from www.elevayta.com can do it.
Maybe doing jokes without the use of smilies ...

The thing is I can stack out the freqs now.. Just looking for an all in one solution..

The buttons labelled "mute"? Or you need one of those steep low-pass filters?

if you want an EQ that totally kills your sound, use any digital EQ pre-2000.
so whats changed since waves ren? AMLT, 64bit double, and?

Ever tried our Parametr'EQ with several bands at the same center frequency? the response can be incredibly steep:

With the widening version you can choose where you want this notch to occur in the stereo field. You can actually have a single note totally disappear wherever you wish.

Letting a single frequency out is possible as well:

The minimum bandwidth is a hundredth of an octave (at halfway boost or cut)

maybe the fact not everybody sticks a bleeding biquad derivation everywhere anymore and calls it a parametric EQ.

indeed 64bit double has had a great impact, but then there are also small, yet significant innovations on parametrisation and phase vs. frequency bell shaping, transistor/tube models, oversampling etc.

...like hydratone, nyquist EQ, voxengo GEC, harmoniEQ etc, you get the idea. I'm sure you can appreciate how much better we have it today compared to pre-2000.

waves renaissance EQ... *giggle*

biquad derivation? whoa felt a plane fly over my head on that one..

just a filter type derived from one of the most basic and boring sounding algorithms. it's beyond bread and butter.

Blue Cat your plugins are amazing!! Love em! WOW and skinnable! Thats no joke!!

What I dont get is why no devs simply dont put an option to enter a value higher than 24 or 32 dbs (or what ever the default is)? Why not just give the user to option to enter what ever value they desire?? That would probably minimize the need for soo much stacking aka cpu bog..
