It can be argued that PRO-TOOLS also has a more efficient workflow for mixing audio, but that's debateable. The real key is the DSP. Give a regular DAW the power of 4 top notch PC's and Pro-tools probably wouldn't have an edge.
Youre right. It has algorythms and super summing too. Plus other meaningless buzzwords!
FOOEY to the algo-buzz-playboy summer issue... that doesn't do enough to help make a hit record, if it does anything at all... besides giving them a woody.

I wonder what Ray Charles thought of Sonar's GUI?

He was probably more concerned with where his next "fix" was coming from.

Coolness. First one today and i have'nt even finished my morning coffee yet.

I'll call Stevie Wonder as a defence witness as he made the same kind of joke during the Usa for Africa recordings.

And remember Ladies and Gentlemen,if you screw this one up either me or Ray Charles will drive you home later. :hihi:

My job involves working with blind people and many of them are able to use computers with help from a screen reader. Apparently Sonar is about the only program that is blind friendly, in that it works with a screen reader and stuff. That being the case, I still don't think Ray Charles or Stevie Wonder has ever used Sonar themselves, but at least it's possible (can you imagine though, can't be an easy thing?).

I do know one blind muscian that records his own tracks, he primarily uses a mini-Moog, and 1/2" tape toe make his recordings. It's a shame that he is unable to be allowed into the world of vst's, though we have looked into Sonar being a possibility, although I have been unable to recommend it, because it just seems to difficult to me, and the fact that vst's do not work with screen readers etc. so it would just be used for audio without vst effects or vsti's.

But anyway, so as ridiculous as it may seem to have Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles representing a sequencer, it does make sense on some level, as Sonar is blind person friendly.

On a side note, I did meet one lady who interviewed Stevie Wonder for a college radio show about 15 years ago. She was blind and Stevie said it was one of the best interviews he'd ever done, because she never questioned him about his blindness, she just focused on questions about his music.
