FreqEqBoy is excellent but here is one request

Hi,
I am using FreqEqBoy and its merging EQ feature is excellent (EQ match).
I would vote for a switch to change the frequency scale to logarithmic though. With a linear scale quite a lot of frequency information is in the first millimeters from the left.
Or, with other words, look at the 10 kHz that splits the scale in the middle right now. The difference between 10 kHz and 20 kHz is just one octave, whereas the difference between 10 kHz and 20 Hz are 9 octaves ...
Regards
Hannes

Hi,Space Boy wrote:Hi,
There will be a significant update in the coming months. I am working on a logarithmic display. Hope I can integrate it with the rest.
Good to hear you find the merge useful - I shouldn't change that I guess
this is great news.
Some thoughts:
- The merge feature is like a golden bullet for working with orchestra samples and acoustical recordings since one can adjust libraries to real recordings or other libraries, or own acoustical recordings to commercial ones. Very very useful and does real magic!!! (And up to now it works better for me than Voxengo's Curve EQ).
- If you are changing the display to logarithmic it is fine. What about changing the test frequency density also to logarithmic? As I wrote, there is much more relevant information in the lower part of the spectrum.
- The useability of EQ matching (merging) is very (a little too) dependent of the low end of the spectrum. With other words the captured passages have to be exactly the same notes and the same bass below it or the merging will not really work.
- There seems to be an inconsistency between the load/save EQ of the tool box and the export/import EQ feature. But maybe I did not really get the meaning of the export/import menu anyway since I did not succeed with the spline/poly/rational and smooth options up to now.

Just bought FreEq Boy. Excellent plugin.
Me too. Logarithmic scale is a must.
