arpmod & arpmd2 modulation?

I just can't figure out how to use the "arpmod & arpmd2" control in the arp control center. How do I link it to a modulation source? Thanks..

heres the most basic example:

1. load the initialise patch.
2. in global page, set the patch to arpeggiator
3. copy my screenshot.
4. you'll notice that arpmod modulates the 'tune'.
5. ez
