this is based on an assumption BBE makes about monitoring, and in no way representative of the real world. Nice marketing speak though.

It's even worse when you actually know the process they use to "compensate" for the assumed response.

It's far fetched to think their specific process of compensation would apply to even a small minority of speaker models. It's great that it works as an "enhancer" but lets not stretch things too far.

Clas is brilliant. I like the bass enhancing of Eloxoga X-ita, but the treble is way too shimmery. Try iton cymbals for an example.

kritikon - check out LF-MAX, it's harmonics go backwards :D

I use it during remastering sometimes to add the pleasant psycho-acoustic low end fluffy marshmellow feeling we've all come to know and love in the 21st century!

I'll admit back when I was a novice who couldnt "really: get the sound I wanted, The BBE 482i came in handy,, but I havent touched it in years. I always think maybe I'll use it in the FX loop of my amp or something, BUt nah,, IT just doesnt really do anything that great, that couldnt be accompliched better and more musical with a good EQ.. I mean THe BBE has basicallly no felxibility, just how much or how little you want to use it, and that to me is too confining and can make everything sound similar.. IM not saying it sucks, but it really isnt useful anymore..

I honestly see it being used as it was it was intened or so they say, And htat is for speaker enhancement.. SHit put theis across a PA and crank the shit out of it,and the BBE is gold... PUt it in critical listening or listening for enjoyment and it doesnt give a lasting good impression.. JUst an initial improvement, until you realize its screwing you in reality.

Yeah - that's the idea use it during playback or live performance but don't imbed that stuff in your audio tracks or masters - argh!@#$ :x
