bitter any?
he would be bitter but he'd rather rant.

what a comp, in anything, any situation, do you get so many talented people giving their time up for our benefit. tuz rocks, as do all the participants.

I also think it is odd that a commercial developer (who worked with a commercial sound designer for presets) won...

But who cares, well done to Urs, the organisers and all the other entrants for a great competition!

In the end we are the only winners because in a short space of time there's been a whole shitload of new, free instruments and effects given to us... Thank you!

Bring on the 2007 Developers challenge!

Congrats Urs,
You deserve it I know you received my vote!
Now for the really good news guys.
The next round of Beck's is on Urs!
Cheers,

Strangely, I didn't see any rules that said commercial developers weren't allowed to enter the competition....
Well done, Urs. Its a great, free synth.

who cares about all that political stuff? triple cheese is freeware, it's awesome, and the most people voted - how on earth can you argue with that?! congrats Urs, great stuff and an awesome freebie for the vst world to have 8)

i'm also surprised that Lunchbox didn't rate - i gave it a vote and thought it was super fun and nice to have something fresh and a little different for fun inspiration - but you can't argue with the results - the people have spoken!

i think it was a great idea and an awesome competition where everyone benefits, devs and users even more... nice going tuz man, this stuff was some of the best of kvr dude

obviously you do, otherwise you wouldn't have brought it up..

On further consideration, I don't really have a problem with it. I was initially a bit concerned because Triple Cheese appears to reuse code from other u-he synths. But since Synthmaker, Synthedit, etc. were allowed, it's all good.

Triple Cheese must be a very impressive VST to have come out on top with so many outstanding entries in this contest. (It wouldn't work in my host, unfortunately.)

I'm in complete shock that Grizzly didn't make the top three. Having used it extensively in compositions, I can say that this is an outstanding drum sampler--easily the best of the 15 or so I've tried. I'll be using it over and over, and I would be happy to shell out a good deal of cash to buy an expanded version of it.

All I can figure is that most people who voted already own Battery, DR-008, or RM IV and have no need for another drum sampler. Whatever the case may be, I was blown away by the quality and usefulness of this VSTi. Thank you, Majken, for all your work in creating this wonderful drum sampler.

I found Choralozoide and Balthor Grand to be very useful and very good, as well.

My music also shows a lot of similarity when it comes to choice of sounds, harmonic structure and melodic content. So does the work of a lot of _really_ good artists. You can easily tell if something was done by, say, Kandinski.

So why would you even think that a developer wouldn't use his concepts and designs in his software?
