Cool plugin! :) It's a shame it takes up to 20% CPU (2.6 GHZ).

Regarding doubling, with all doublers i've tried so far, when looking at a vectorscope, the 'moving circle' shape is morphing sometimes to a plain vertical line, meaning, the signal is plain mono at this time, and i'd like to keep it always stereo to a certain amount and not have a mono signal at all times. Does anyone know of such a plugin? I could simply insert a stereo sampledelay behind the double but that wouldn't be the same, or would it?
Cowbells!

lol yes, the cpu bit is a big problem  another reason it's not released yet... I should have also mentioned i meant to fix that bit. Glad you like it besides that. :)

ooh! Downloading now. Let me guess: Synthmaker?

Nope. synthedit, with some phase shift modules (that eat cpu for breakfast lol). :)

Ha, well, I had to guess.

Hey, this thing is great, sounds good. Love the GUI too; elegant and tasty. Hope you aren't changing it too much!

You could insert a very subtle chorus or stereo phaser in the chain to prevent the crossover going to straight mono at the stereo centre. As long as it still sounds good...

Thanx man. :) I am glad you like it. If you try it on a full mix you'll hear why i am changing the name of it. I am also taking down the cpu usage as much as possible tonight. It works great on old drum loops as well! If you try it on a full stereo mix however, it sounds AMAZING in headphones, but like arse on speakers. :*( I'll keep you posted. :)

I noticed that it sounded quite phasey when I flipped the vocal to mono, but mostly with everything cranked. I was wondering about the "mastering" aspect, how you would use a room simulator for mastering. Isn't that a little scary, throwing this kind of thing on a full mix? But I think you've developed a nice doubling-type tool, though!

The reason it's phasey is because it's mixing with the same time delayed version of the original signal.. I hadn't noticed it, but I was in headphones. I'll fix that tonight. Thanx. :). On acoustic tracks, it actually sounded very good in a small amount on the entire mix due to the dynamics not being as apparent. even on Ambient or something, but when I tried it on some whumping electronica I quickly changed my mind.

Cool! I can see using this a lot. I love plugins that mess with ambience.

I think I get the other two controls, but what do "Absorbancy" and "Focus" do?

Post

If your reflection is all the way down you can better hear absorbancy change the sound. I was going for the dampness of a room. I want to get impulse response for this rather I think however. If your intensity is at 100%, and your mix tends to shift to one side, focus can help shift the focus of the mix slightly. I am going to integrate this with pan I have decided.

a noise gate to a delay is it kind of? I am at work or I'd try. : /

Yup. Gate + random delay + random gain of that delay, strength adjustable

It's ugly as sin, as a bonus :hihi:

The mix I put it on indeed shifted...interesting.
