Hi there, I'm trying to get my Atmosphere installed on my 4 day old Receptor, following the pdf instructions, but copying the .dat file is causing headaches.
I'm on a mac, OSX10.4, and have tried through my network, and using a x-over cable, using drag/drop and a cp in the command line. Both GUI methods say the disk is full on receptor, the CLI method returns this: cp: /Volumes/Receptor-1/Samples/Spectrasonics/Atmosphere/Atmosphere Data/Atmosphere.dat: File too large
is mac osx incapable of moving a file this large to something other that another OSX computer? I kinda remember moving that .dat file from its original installation computer to my laptop and my iMac without any problems.
any insight?
=== edit ===
interestingly enough using CLI at least puts *something* there, but it's only 2GB
oh and the Receptor reports 124 GB available ..
TIA
Atmosphere.dat file too large?

I can't say why the Mac is complaining, but I can say that I copied the .dat from a PC with no problem. I tend to stay away from using my Mac as an interim device, because OSX is not as forgiving as XP.

Thanks .. i was worried about that, but it also gave me an idea that worked, so for any other Mac OSX users out there, connect to the Receptor using SMB instead of AFP. Worked like a charm!
