Hi cain
Glad to hear this. Please let us hear any tracks you may come up with.

Anybody else had a chance to try the Basses yet?

Cheers

I've tried the basses in their soundfont formats. They sound great, but my soundfont player is sfz, and the release times on the samples are much too short. Unless there's some way to change this for the sfz player, I can't really use the soundfont versions of the basses, but I was really wanting to get in on the special release offer so that I would later receive the Kontakt versions, which should be easy to work with.

Peace...and thanks!

Hi Fox
Just to clarify here, The Samples are Full notes with extremely long release times so it sounds like this has to be in the ADSR of the SFZ player. We make sure all the notes are natural and long. I just wanted to clarify that.

I think someone made an SFZ editor that might allow you to make some changes to the params af the SFZ player. Maybe search the forums for it as i am not too sure what it is as I have SFZ+.

I also will have some early versions of the Kontakt format very soon. Maybe you would like to get these early and try them?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the clarification. I figured it had much more to do with my sfz sample player. It's the free version, and I don't think I can easily change the settings in the sfz player, but I'd have to edit the font, and frankly, I don't want to bother (unless someone knows a quick and easy and free solution)!

It's really the Kontakt formatted samples that I'm eager to receive, so yes, I'd love to try those out! Many thanks. (Not that I'm a Kontakt expert or anything.)

Cheers,

Fox

Well, I did a little diggin' around, Paul, and found this: http://asseca.com/nicfit/sfz_buddy.html

I think it'll take care of my needs till the Konkakt versions of your samples are available.

Peace,

Fox

[edit: Thanks Paul for inspiring me to go looking for something to help my soundfonts. Turns out that sfzbuddy is a real godsend!]

Great find!

I was going to say, there's a graphical SFZ editor out there, but looks like you found something that suits your purposes even better!

Hi Tellfit

You will be fine for that date.
Once we release our upcoming Product "ManyOne", then we will announce an ending Date for this Bass special. This is so the New ManyOne users will be able to grab the deal if they wish.
Thanks
Paul

The basses are sounding wonderful. I loaded the sf2s in Kontakt 2 on my G4 Powerbook and all four soundfonts sound very good. I am going to try to load the Wusik format into EVE 2 - I'm not sure if your specs listed that they are compatible with EVE 2 or if it was only EVE 1. Very nice work on these samples - highly recommended.

Hi Paul,
one question here :
I'd love to take advantage of the introductory price for your basses (at least the upright, my mind is'nt totally made for the Ovation, whose demos are not truly selling IMHO).
But, even though I do own Manystation, I'd rather use those samples in Kontakt2, which is my main sampler (and will hopefully let me use some scripting like legato, vibrato, etc. to make them even better !) :) .
So I'd like to know if purchasing now will give one an access to a later free Kontakt update donwload, or if it's wiser to wait for the K release (provided that the introductory price lasts that long !).
Thanks for this clarification

You needn't wait. Paul made clear in this thread that:

"We are working on adding Kontakt to this list and once we do, anybody that purchases these [2 new Bass Libraries] during the Intro can request that format for no extra charge, once it is available."

Thank you very much, FoxV,
I'll go place my order as soon as I decide if i take the bundle or just the upright !

Hi
Yeah ...No problem on multiple formats during this intro special... Just be sure to tell me what formats you want in the Box provided on the order form. (After the Intro special, multiple formats will be $10.00 extra.)

As for the 2 basses and choosing etc. I think it really depends on what style and type of music you do most. For me it is the Ovation sets that suit the style i do most (Alt Rock, Folk, Punk, Unplugged etc.)
We had a few mails already from users who were very impressed with the Ovation set. So it is your call, but remember with both sets you will have a much wider variety of Acoustic Sounds. The Demo MP3s really only show a taste of the sounds that can be achieved.

Thanks guys
Paul

Paul thank you for your reply,
I just placed my order for the bundle : anyway, it's so friendly priced at the moment that I can take the chance to have the Ovation unused or underused, if it does not suit my style....
So l'll go first for the W2/Manystation format, and will expect the Kontakt one , as I told you in the box .
