... would be to develop a own "benchmark" test for the receptor and his different configurations (and revisions).

It would be great to create a test, that compares the receptor and a macbookpro (latency test). eg. the receptor pro vs the macbookpro 2.3 dual2core (2gb ram)... So you can express the performance of the receptor quantitativly.

For the test: you (=kvr / muse receptor) could create a standard setup, running both on receptor and on the apple:

eg: a piano vsti (akoustik piano / ivory)
a rhodes simulation (ll3)
some synthies (fm7/absynth)
and so on...
