I loaded both the mic and DI Ovation samples in EVE 2 and blending them together sounds great.

Hey mikebeck

Yes, the Mic and the DI set were recorded and edited together and then the files were split into the individual soundsets. This makes them perfect for Layering together as the sounds are "in sync" so to speak. Boths sets work great on their own or when you mix the 2 together and they were meant for that purpose.

Glad to hear you have them working in Eve 2 also.

BTW - As was mentioned, I started a thread in the Market Place for the Intro special on the 2 basses:
See it here for more info.

Hi Guys
I noticed quickly a few days ago that someone posted a Christmas tune (Frosty the snowman) that used the upright bass. Before i had a chance to comment , i lost the thread.

Anybody know where that thread is? I thought it was one of the bass threads but i can't find the post now.

Hi
Looked quickly and it does not look like it integrates with paypal. It Lists some partners but i didn't see paypal there. As all our customer data since we started is stored at paypal it just may not be so easy for me to do.

Are there other VST devs using it, and can you show me where i can see it action on another devs site?
I'll look into it more but it won't be soon as plate is pretty full here.

Any chance of a Halion 3 format?

Hem...

I got the soundfontz format and changed it to Halion through CDXtract. It won't work for Halion 3? (I have Halion 2)

Hi
I am not sure if we will see a Halion version anytime soon. The upcoming Kontakt version will have the 24 bit wav files included though, so you could map those in Halion if you wished. Perhaps if we find an experienced user of Halion, we will see about getting an actual mapped Halion version.
I think i remember someone saying it should be mapped and saved in Version 2 so it loads in both Halion 2 and 3. So i think we need a Halion 2 user.

Thanks guys

Just downloaded the samples this morning.
WOW, I was looking for usable samples like these for quite a while. This is really good sounding stuff.

Hey Poul
I've made a 24 bit Halion version, with many different Program/Presets.
Being a pro Halion user, I've made it in Hal 3!
However - if needed I can also make a Hal 2 version.

BTW: The upright bas is just great sounding.

Best regards
Bo

Hi Bo
That sounds great. How did you get the 24 bit samples? I am assuming you extracted them from the Wusik or the VSampler version?

Hi,

I just bought the upright bass and am currently downloading the three versions. Since my only "proper" Sampler is Battery 2, I hope the coming version for Kontakt will be a Kontakt 1-1.5 format and not Kontakt 2, since B2 only supports Kontakt up to 1.5...? Or would it be possible to convert 2 to 1.5?

Post

Hi
We have never announced directly supporting the Battery format as we have not had a request yet for it. I think most folks see it as a Drum Sampler and not so much for Basses and other samples even though it can do them. The upcoming Kontakt versions are Kontakt 2.
I am not sure how this will translate to Kontakt 1 or your Battery though.
We are working on getting the Kontakt sets out soon and they will contain the 24 bit samples for you to map yourself also if you wish.

I know it wasn't going to be supported, but I thought it could be possible to use the Kontakt version in Battery. Anyway, since Bo Clausen seems to be willing to deliver a Halion 2 version, this might work as well...

Post

Oh, I just realised Battery 2 doesn't load Halion programs (B3 does...). So I guess I'll have to really map the samples myself as soon as the Kontakt version is out.

BTW, the soundfont version sounds quite nice already.
