Added one more of your presets by the way marvo (MDK Biding Your Time, replaced a duplicate of MDK Kick). Also added 2 more of mine, for what it's worth.

Sorry about the "spam" vurt, just updating old threads so those who are watching those threads will get emailed. I've requested we carry on all discussion in here so hopefully those 2 other threads will trickle down quickly and won't be spamming the list for long. I guess I should have probably done these all as one thread, but they get rather long and it's hard to keep track of issues on a per-release basis without starting fresh.

fair enough, sure you can see how it looked tho...

anyways, nice lookin synth, good luck for the future 8)

Thanks Heath, great work!
Very nice-reminds me of Joe Zawinul with Weather Report. :D

Wow. Nice demos. 2nd & 3rd ones especially made the Poly-Ana sound like hardware.

Post

Ok that does it. Someone needs to invent a touch screen that allows one to turn knobs, push buttons, flip switches and move sliders.

I don't even know why I'm in this thread... I run a Mac... (I run amok?)... anyhow, glad I stopped in for Heath Blair's demos, they're wonderful!... who's Heath Blair?

Poly-Ana sounds great too, good luck with it AQ!

Hang in there polyslax. I want to support the Mac ASAP, just can't afford one right now. Get all your Windows friends to buy Poly-Ana so I can afford a Mac, and we'll do a port for you. It's high on the list.

cool, i've got a few more i'll send your way. I'll also go through them all and make sure the levels are consistent.

The new demos are really nice. You should get those sounds in there as well :)

ok, if you want a quick way to do some kind of brute force testing (or breaking) then get the demo of Plogue Bidule, load up Poly-Ana and hit the random button a few times. I get consistent freezes after a few random selections. (It might be best to try this with no sound on..)

You can download PB here :

I've also got a bug which is related to Env3 but i've not quite got the steps for consistently reproducing it yet. I'll figure it out and post later.

I've got an NFR of Bidule.

I did manage to reproduce the problem but it's attributable to CPU overload. When you randomize in Bidule, you're randomizing all the parameters and its easy to come up with a configuration that uses too much CPU power. (i.e. 12 voices, unison mode, 8X Quality should do it!) When I reduced things back to a sane range, behavior went back to normal.

By the way, is this randomize function how you've been making all your strange sounds? I'm rather surprised at some of the stuff I get when I make a random patch, wouldn't have expected them to be so interesting!

Let me know what you find with Env 3 as well. Can you describe what the problem is, if not how to reproduce it?

Thanks!
