It's a little hard to see, but that's the new XT2 mixer on my screen!

nice hovmod! your son looks more trustworthy than mine - and the eXT2 complements the graphite decor of your studio tools, no doubt it's the norweigan winter skin!

something new for me, i've been enjoying the internet auctions recently, looking for cheap stuff. here's my new cheesey fun casiotone 403 - check out that wood effect. it's actually metal beneath:

also got a korg poly800II - there's an interesting mod you can do to it - my DIY project for the new year holidays.

are those hooks using any mollies or anchors behind them? what kind of materials are the walls made from? i got a nice blank wall behind me aching for some axage.
I use these things: http://www.herculesstands.com/guitars/GSP39WB.html

Not having them on the wall like that would probbaly hurt them more... The hangers swivel, so even the P-bass which has a very uneven head hangs nicely. And the foam doesn't hurt the finish, as far as I can tell.

I had them haning on the other wall before, and the bass fell down! The wall they're on now is wood and the screws are big-ass screws!

I have no problem recommending this. It saves space, saves tripping over them, looks good on the wall, and it keeps them out of reach of the kids as well.

btw, I've got the monitors on wall mounts now as well. Looks and sounds much better.
thanks for the link i may do that.

I started getting bad aches in my fingers so thought i'd try one (you click with your thumb) and it helped no end. Haven't had problems with my wrists yet (been using it 3 or 4 years). Neat on dual screens as you can spin it and the cursor just flies across the desktop. Great for adjusting virtual knobs too.

unable to make any actual music due to kids, i've satisfied myself with buying old stuff in the internet auctions here in japan. here's some new bits (sorry crappy cellphone images):

I still haven't got the studio completely set up since my move over the Summer, but it's getting there. As you can see, I have plenty of space in the new basement (dig that groovy 70s shag carpet, maaaan). You can sorta make out the room in the back where I have the drums, percussion, Hammond and other sundry acoustic goodies. There is also a long concrete room next to the studio that I am using as a makeshift reverb chamber. I still have a bit of cabling to do... :bang:

Scot, are you sure those pictures aren't FROM the 70's? ;) If I did't see that Receptor in the (and a few of those keyboards like the Kawai) you could have fooled me!

You seem awfully young to be making music on a PC yet alone being able to type proper English on an Internet forum.
