What about Ultimate Bass Kit? I don't know if it comes as K2, but surely it will translate it pretty well? It's like $30 from manytone.com I believe..

Funny...I have UBK and it sounds out of tune. It sounds flat (meaning in pitch). I was going to ask Paul @ Manytone about this...

But I tune my guitar to Line6 hardware and when I play the picked patches in UBK it doesn't sound in tune.

I think Scarbee has smaller versions of their JS&F for download...

But they're going to have an Autumn Sale from Oct, 1st - Oct, 3rd with discounts of 50% - so you might want to buy the full version...

I'm not totally satisfied but using the "natural_bass_guitars" free sound font or Sampletank SE's (came with my Traction box) "P-bass fingered" and some proccessing I managed to achieve some decent results. Much better than 4front bass IMVHO of course.
If I go insane, please don't put your wires in my brain

Slightly different, being an acoustic bass guitar sort of sound, but very playable: try the Cedarbass at prokits for 4 pounds: http://www.prokits.co.uk/productview.asp?productID=224
"If Rickenbacker made an acoustic bass guitar, it might sound something like this. Multi-sampled, with different velocity-levels and articulations, round-robin triggering of alternate samples, note-off noises etc" and a custom script to do intelligent legato.

Akk, I give up trying to get the link to come out - even though it works in the "preview post" view, you'll have to cut and paste.

A nasty, rattling, old thing isn't it? Just the thing to mimic a teenage garage band!

Definitely a different kind of sound than most. :)

Hi Paul
I saw this back then and thought i would hear from you but never did and it slipped my mind.

I see just today you made a post correcting yourself. I am not sure what happened and why you thought UBK was out of tune, but I just wanted to thank you for making this new post and I wanted to point out here what you said. See Paul's post to clarify what he just said here:

Thanks and Glad you are loving UBK so much!
