Hi Everyone,
I just installed the demo from Computer Music on my Mac (G5, dual processors, 5gigs ram). I run the latest Tiger OS and the latest Logic but, for some reason, Zebra absolutely freezes when I bring it up. Fortunately, it lets me unload it so I don't have to shut the program down entrirely. Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Thanks, Emerson

Not necessarily. Might be a problem with Logic's ability to address 4GB of memory.thorau wrote:Does the GUI melt slowly...?

Thanks Everyone,
By melting, do you mean it starts to look like it's see-through? Now that you mention it, it kinda does do that. I hadn't noticed it befpre. It's odd though, I've had one or two problems with installing and using plugins from the Computer Music disc. Maybe it's the fact that it comes from the UK.

"Zebra Freezing on Logic" would definately be a good name for a band or a CD. Other than that...I have absolutely nothing substantive to add...cept I hope ya work it out...it's a great synth.

Problem Solved! (I think). I'm almost embarassed to tell you what happened but here goes: I didn't realize that the problem actually started, not when I first installed the program, but when I tried to access the presets. For some unknown reason (well, unknown then) Logic couldn't find the presets which I thought I had placed in the right folder. Because there were no presets and also because I'm never sure exactly where Logic reads these from, I installed them on all my drives (5 all total). Well, needless to say, when Logic started up again it had about 5 times the presets that it needed and it just stalled when I would click on one to select it. I went and uninstalled all the presets and put the folders back one at a time until I found the path that Logic searched and then uninstalled which ever folders were unnecessry. It seems to be working fine now. However, would some please remind me to make a New Year's resolution to clean up these drives? And, by the way, I was only kidding about it melting. I thought the person who mentioned it was referring to, uhm, well, let's see, how can I put this, the fact that maybe I was experencing a flashback from when I did drugs, say, oh, maybe twenty years ago now (right about the time that Sgt. Pepper taught the band to play). OK, now, back to playing around with my Zebra. Emerson
