Waldorf Edition on Receptor

I've searched this site and apparently I'm not the only one trying this out. Waldorf IS back in business and they ARE supporting their version of the Waldorf Edition with PPG 2.V, Attack and D-Pole in one very inexpensive package. We are an all Mac based studio so this makes it a little trickier for us than Windows users. The software plugs sound great, but we have to use the RTAS wrapper in Protools and we would love for it to work on our Receptors. Has anyone had any luck with this installation?

Any useful suggestions are much appreciated. :-)

Thanks

I'll have to contact them to see if I can use the newer version. I have the Steinberg CD which I could never get to work on Receptor via the unsupported method as I lack a USB CD that is recognised by it, hence I couldn't install the Steinberg edition as it required access to the install CD to authorise the plugs. I'll report later once I have tried the Waldorf combo, if I'm entitled to a free update that is.

Is anything in life free anymore? LOL. Good luck and post the results.

Thanks!!!

Well, unless I'm mistaken, it seems the Steinberg edition will not be updated by Waldorf for free. So right now, I'm out of the loop unless Waldorf define an upgrade policy that is sensible.

Since it was very cheap to buy it from Thomann, I bought the bullet and ordered it.

It was not easy to install, but it works !

Complete info at the Yahoo group receptorized.

So... What's the secret? How did you install? I am on a Mac so I'm sure I'll need the Windoze .dll file or something.

Why don't you check my report at receptorized ? I've explained this in details.

However, with the way the protection mechanism works and what I had to do on my Receptor to install the files, I have no idea as to my technique can be adapted for the Macintosh. You'll understand why when you read what I wrote.

Might sound crazy, but where is this website, "receptorized"? Sorry I'm not up on all of the websites.
