it's one of the reasons i still just bought the waldorf edition: sure they're old (and maybe limited) as hell, but they are still pretty cool and i can hardly see any hit on my cpu.
wish you best of luck with this one, luigi and aldo!
ok, I understand but I always saw synthetic drum machines with less that 16 sounds, no?AKJ wrote:luigi, sure not free, but 16 slots is desired for one simple reason > be able to create mappings that match existing gm drum patterns.
It depends... if you use wisely the built-in pad effects, master effects, pre/post sends the CPU load is rather low.fabi wrote:how's it on the cpu? it looks absolutely gorgeous, but cpu is fairly big issue to me.

For future releases of the DKS more CPU optimizations are planned, and more features as well.

And I wish you best of luck for the new Year.

thanks for your reply. did you get my pm? i'm still debating whether to get dks or not - i do hope so, though.Aldo wrote:fabi, this is a good idea! Not only to save some CPU time (the freeze function avaiable in many hosts may help), but the sounds generated with a set of simple randomizers (just one oscillator and/or one noise source) can be a great starting point to program your own sound.
The beta 5 of DKS has been released and is available for download to all the beta testers. The manual, the randomizers, the presets, and some skins are still under development.
Obviously all the beta tester who contributed actively to the testing and/or contributed with presets will receive the final version for free.
