Akoustik Piano Receptor Question

New to Receptor - I have installed Akoustik Piano. When I instantiate AP it does not automatically load any sample set. The only way I can load any of the pianos (or presets) is to use the gui editor. I have tried saving patches, singles, etc. (I have not as of yet tried saving within the NI editor screen - maybe later today). the patches do save to Receptor and are recalled at boot up - but no samples load. As my goal is for live use, I need to have the samples load as well. The samples are in the Receptor Samples folder and I believe installed correctly. Any ideas or suggestions? - I searched the forum and the NI forum - probably pilot error somewhere along the line -

Just an update - Rick from plug-o-rama helped solve the problem. I rebuilt the plug in cache holding the multi button and hitting the power button 3 times. This got me running for the most part - thanks to Rick

Hi. I saw your message about Akoustik Piano and I am having some trouble and thought you could help. I have successfully authorized the plugin on my Receptor but everytime I try to instantiate it, Receptor resets. Did you encounter this problem at all?
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

I just saw your other post (regarding Akoustik Piano) today - I think we bought from the same etailor. It looks like your other post was answered. I agree that you need to add ram. I have two gigs, and when I can get AP to load properly (another story) it runs fine.

Thanks for the input. What problems are you having when trying to load AP?

I'm not quite sure if this is an NI bug, an NI/Receptor bug, pilot error, or what? If I shut down Receptor with Akoustik Piano loaded, Receptor does come back on with the correct saved Multi, Single, Patch etc. but the piano samples do not load (the first time with the boot up). I have to go to either the Receptor or the remote and then load the patch. From this point on the samples (my saved patches) load as expected. Interestingly, even though I now shut down Receptor with something different loaded (or blank patch), it still seems to take two trys to get a piano loaded. A minor headache, but a bit of a hassle none the less. I want to be clear however, I regard myself to still be in a rather beginnig postion on the learning curve. I've spent many hours with Receptor and my Yamaha S90es (ask my neglected wife)and feel I have barely scratched the surface of the potential this offers. It's really quite an instrument (or instrument host?), but not necessarily for those who are impatient, or wish to plugin and play.

Rick has helped me fix a few other problems I was having with Receptor but I will confirm that I have the same (or a similar) problem with AP that you do. When I first start up Receptor and load AP the GUI refers to the Bank as "Built-in" rather than "factory". As soon as I load a patch from the factory bank, the GUI changes the name of the Bank to <factory> and loads the patch.
Is this what you are seeing to or is it different? Have you had any further input on how to fix or if the issue is fixable at this point?

toddg7777,
I have not found any fix. It seems to take two trys no matter what. I am loading a Receptor saved patch along with a Receptor saved Multi and whether or not I do this from the Recptor front panel, or call it with a program change from my S90es, I have to do it twice. I haven't fussed with this issue much recently. I tend to start working on a technical problem and end up enjoying playing the sound - or tweaking - play tweak. If I come across anything, I'll be sure to post. Good luck.

Hey guy ....
Have you tried saving those patches as Receptor singles as well ?
I wonder if you save your AP patches as source, single and Multi
in Receptor, then maybe they will be recalled properly ???
