Wow Carlos that was great.Jazzguitar wrote: This is a instrumental tune I wrote and record with AT2 more as a demo...

greetings
Thank you for the presets.
I am a big fan, I have Scarlatin on my iPod and I listen to it at least once a week.
It's a piece that talks to me and the "George Benson note singing" takes it over the top
Check it out everybody:

Carlos, that was some seriously awesome guitar playing, and an awesome demonstration of the power of AT2.Jazzguitar wrote:Thank you Brian, for a solid and pure signal first I connect my guitar to a Presonus Bluetube, a little but cool valve preamp, with not very drive gain to avoid extra coloration, then mono preamp out go to audio card, a M-audio Delta 66. I use Cubase SX with AT2 (5 ms. latency) in guitar track via insert of course, that is all. What is nice about AT2 is I don't have to do any extra tweaking track EQing or tonal exciter enhancements or nothing else..at least in this demo tune I got a tone "out of box" near at a snap, altough I am not meaning that is something always needless, just I get my way easily and quickly with AT2 than with Guitar Rig. The guitar I use in demo: Telecaster standard with PAF 1966 Gibson humbucker (neck)ba_hill wrote:Hi Jazzguitar,
Great tones and great playing! I would never have guessed you recorded this with an amp sim. The melody/lead tone in particular is one of the sounds I've been after and never been able to get from any amp simulator - either hardware or software. Would you mind describing your recording setup as well as the amp/speaker/effects that you used in AT2?
Thanks,
Brian
I packed here http://sitiopro.com/music/AT2patchsbyCEA.zip some AT2 patchs I make, most fusion, rock, jazz oriented and some very similar or with little differences..hope enjoy it.
In the case you want just the patch I use in demo: http://sitiopro.com/music/subwaysolitude.zip. Note this AT2 patch, aside wahwah, include a compressor and overdrive stomp boxes for more intense guitar solo parts. However at start song and bossa nova part near of tune end, I use the same patch, just less Marshal AT2 preamp gain and definitely not comp neither overdrive stomps in order to get that clean archtop like tone.
Regards
Carlos

I kept Scarlatin on my hard drive too ! It's a great piece of music, I had not realized it was the same Carlos. I hope some day I'll have time to practice the guitar, this piece really inspires me to do so.AndrewSimon wrote: Wow Carlos that was great.

Many thanks to Brian,A3ntar,Silenceborn, Gordon(man...your music is fantastic!).
thank you cheul & AndrewSimon, I wrote Scarlatin as a demo for excelent Scarbee sample libraries, that time I use POD 2.3, real amps and Scarbee Vintage Keyboard FX as tone enhancer.

Thank you for the AmpliTube2 presets.
It's always nice to see how others are doing things.
I learned a few tricks from your setups.
Here are mine:

epi is a semi-hollow 335 style guitar
Strat is ... well a Strat
Ibanez is the same type as your Ibanez
Ta stands for Tom Anderson Atom, it's basically an LP style guitar.
Make sure to check out the Tweed preset under the Strat, I think it will work great with your Tele.
Note, I usually use 3rd party post Reverb, Delay and Compressors so add any of these to taste.
You will also see many EQ's in the stomp section, just turn them on for more GAIN!
Thanks

Thanks Andrew. My Ibanez AS80 is a 335 style so the epi prests will come in handy. I have made a few useful presets for it that I will post in a while i I can find some time.

Gordon

Ahhhh yes the pictures. I did ask permission to post it but that was a few weeks ago so let me just ask again to be sure. I don't want to get yelled at! Haha. But, a Stomp IO just arrived the other day, the new one. MAN!!!!!! Does it look SWEEEEEEEET! Seriously. RUGGED as hell. I want to keep it. I am going to try to have one in my booth (Sonic Reality booth has some jams going on this year) and if I am lucky I can keep it afterward. It's a SERIOUS piece of hardware. I think the best way to look at it is the foot controller equivalent to a Digi002. A more high end interface controller for the guitarist. Such a thing doesn't exist! Not until this. I think any AT2 user would be crazy not to get it honestly. It's just too cool. Preset management, 6 switch or expression pedals... even keyboard players should get it just for the midi foot control aspects of it. You can even turn it into something like a Moog Taurus pedal controller I think. It's pretty powerful!A3ntar wrote:SQUIDS!!! Where are the pictures?!!
By the way, I've been asked to head up a press conference at the IK booth (I actually co-hosted the original one when the Stomp IO and Stealth was announced). The PR is not for a product I was directly involved in (well one of the products at the press conference is) but it'll be so cool that I think it warrants a 400 page thread all its own! Haha. No I am just kidding. But it IS something I think a lot of you will like. I know I like it a LOT and pretty soon I will tell you why! The only thing I CAN say is MAN the thing would otherwise be EXPENSIIIIIIVEEEEEE in hardware.

Great! Is this going to be another IK product we have to wait nearly two years for?
