I just read the review.. well, you can't really call it a review really. "Zebra is semi-modular. Zebra has 4 oscillators and 4 fm oscillators. Zebra has blahblah.. Conclusion: Zebra sounds stunning.".. erm?.. we can all f**king read the u-he website, we know how much x and y Zebra has. Don't get me wrong, they came to the right conclusion, but the review itself is as useful as the chinese instructions for your toaster

I like Zebra. It sounds great. (Have just listened to the sound demos).
About writing reviews:
I have learnt it from magazines.
You just describe the features: 2 oscillators 1 filter and 3LFOs. Then you just say that it sounds great, much better than you had expected. And thats it. Its very simple.
Most reviews is written in that form.
Jim Aikin in US keyboard is the opposite. I dont think he sleeps when he gets a new baby into his house, also SOS has some very good reviews.

Oh, I am not surprised... The Future/Computer Music reviews were always quite shallow.
Now that I remember it maybe I won't buy it - or maybe for a Zebra memorabilia, let's see what mood I am in when I walk past the kiosk
I hope there will be one in SOS or Keyboard.

What does the Keyboard review say, anyone?
Oh and Urs, it's hard to find in BERLIN?!?! I didn't realize that you are that dubbed-up.
(We have that in major department stores/bookshops so I need to check it out when I go past again, I think that the issues come a bit late here though.)

Well... it's hard to find when you work like a pig and get a bad conscience if you ever manage to get more than 30 meters of distance between you and your appartment...

Heh, I see. I envy your possibility to grab a tiny bottle of Jägermeister at those train station kiosks, though. I bought the Computer Music BTW. Teehee, "Arpharp" is seen in the preset list in a picture.

haven't found anything from Jim Aikin about Zebra 2.0....In a nutshell, it's a virtual analog modular synth that lets you draw your own oscillator waveforms. Outside the nutshell, it also does additive and FM synthesis(the latter with four dedicated modulation oscillators), and includes powerful arpeggiators and step sequences. www.u-he.com
maybe the Jim Aikin thing was for Zebra 1? maybe theres something on their website?
