Troubles with Rhino in Ableton Live 6

Thanks for replying, Tick! This issue doesn't manifest itself whilst simply adding the VST to a project that you're currently working on, but only whilst reloading a project that contains multiple copies of Rhino. I'll look into putting an "empty" project together that loads a few instances of Rhino, you should be able to open that.

OK. Do you know anyone at the ableton forums ? I've PM'ed alex, but he hasn't replied yet...

Not personally, no. Sorry Tick. :(

However, I have sent you a PM with a link to some Live projects. Hope that helps you find the problems!

I keep Rhino in E:\audiont\Ableton\VSTPlugins\VSTi\Rhino2. I'll try moving it to be directly in the VSTPlugins folder, see if it makes any difference. I guess I'll try installing 6.0.3 as well, despite the bugs I've heard of...

(That is... I'll try later after I've gotten some sleep and been to work! )

Hi,
it might not be the same prob, but here it is. After I renamed the Wusikstation folder in my VST plugin folder, Live would not start. I had to take out the Wusikstation VST and put it in separte folder.
Wusikstation works fine (in energyXT), Live starts fine as long there is no refernce to Wusikstation. I assume that something in the folder is corrupt and it promts Live to shut down.

Just tried moving the Rhino2 one level up. No change at all. I shall try e:\VSTPlugins\Rhino2 just in case, but it doesn't seem likely to help. Trying to download Live 6.0.3 now...

Juergm: Rhino loads up fine when you ADD one to a project. Live does NOT crash on startup trying to load the Rhino2 DLL. Live crashes when you ask it to load an ALS project that contains more than one Rhino instance - that's when the "can't find WAV" message appears.

Edit: Still getting the same error in Live 6.0.3

Edit 2: I tried using a totally empty, new VSTPlugins folder on my C: drive (C:\VSTPlugins), with just Rhino2 installed. Still get the same error.

What else can I try? I hope it's not because I'm running Windows 2000... :( *sigh* Looks like I'll only be able to use one instance of Rhino per project for now.
