I have a mac running system 10.4.8. I just bought Kontakt 2.2 and a receptor rev c.

I have been able to install and authorize Kontakt (as far as i can tell...) but for some reason i cannot install the library of sounds that come with it. When I start to copy the library from Kontakt install disc 1 (orchestral) to the receptor hard drive in the specified location on receptor (Samples/native instruments/kontakt2/kontakt2 library) the installation stops within about a minute saying "You cannot copy the item "violin ens 14 (stac 1+2 alt).nkl" because the name is too long or includes characters that the disk cannot display".

anyone know what to do? thanks!

You need to use the SMB protocol to make the xfer, if I am not mistaken. CMD-K then enter smb://192.168.1.254.

I had the same issue. I believe this is mentioned in the manual.

thanks aj. i figured that out and am currently making the transfe but it's taking an amazingly long time. for 7.5 GB of info it's saying it will take around 12 hours!! Does this seem correct?

thanks,

IT sounds about right because there are a ton of files. I just transfered 400MB from a USB stick in less than 2 minutes but 215MB with a ton of small files and directories took 20 minutes.
