Looked at some rock and pop vids today, from the late 80'ies. Man just 'bout every good band had a Prophet 5, an Oberheim, a DX7 and so on. And here we are today, mostly EM musicians, either desperatly trying to string together the budget to buy one - if you find it that is, or desperately trying to emulate them!
Just seems so, so lowly I guess!

Combining this with http://www.karma-lab.com/forum/showthre ... eadid=8447 would maybe give us a hint...Squids wrote:... Oh, in the Sonic Reality booth which is three times larger than last year (to give you an idea of the scope of what we have going on) we will also have a REALLY unusual instrument that is totally new. I don't think it's ever been seen before actually, so an invention that controls midi in a unique way. We didn't invent it, this is something from another company that is sharing a piece of our booth just because it's cool (not it's not the Continuum although I was considering bringing mine just for the fun of it). ...
if this collaboration is true, it will be a huge hit

The "countdown" clock is running -- "over 10 new products"
of course, it'll probably be 6 different guitar tuners

Pfff, amateurs. Behringer has 80 new products, considerably more than "over 10."

I got an email from Spectrasonics today that they will not be at NAMM this year, owing to the fact that they are not announcing anything and just being there draws their resources away from development. Eric noted the development of current and future instruments, as well as their reputation for being "tight-lipped".
Godspeed, Eric!

Mach V ver 3 will be announced, which will be THE killer sampler to beat all samplers. Not only that, they'll pay you $100 to upgrade from version 2....
Actually, in all seriousness, 2007 could be a good year, now that UB binaries are mainly done and over with (and good riddance to 2006, a real duff for Windows users).
