I'm thinking of feeding something like a vocoder effect, where the carrier and modulation inputs need to be panned fully left and right. If I want to use my drum audio as the modulator, the only way I see right now to have both the stereo audio and the hard-panned modulator input is to use a rack (whoops, almost wrote "mixer strip" :)) as an intermediate stage just to get the panning. Seems like panning in the send control (maybe with stereo -> mono conversion as a send option) would be an easier way to do that.

Ok, added to the whishlist ;)

Note that a Rack has an audio output AND a event (midi) output, but you only SEE one of both in the Rack editor.

Because it's quite unusual that one Rack will effectively output both audio and events.

So by right-clicking the output of the Rack, you can choose which output you want to SEE there.

So choose to see the Event Output, then select the MIDI port you want to send to.

If no MIDI ports are listed, then i guess you don't have any MIDI ports activated yet.

You can activate MIDI ports via the Edit menu -> MIDI Setup.

Does all this helps?

Bug:

In List Editor, if you dclick in a time in Time Column and then anywhere in the Window, Luna crashes.

Thanks for the picture, that makes it clear.

Now that you have selected to see the event output of a rack, then click the output and choose your MIDI port, in this case the MS GS Synth.

Does that work?

I can't repeat it here, just works fine.

Is this repeatable on your system?

If so, can you send me some more detailed crash info?

Can't reproduce here now... :?

I've had occasional random crashes that I can't reproduce also (had one last night while playing with PR5). Somewhat frustrating but hard to track down. Everything seems to work OK when I restart LUNA, so I'm kinda left wondering what to do about it.

I'll try to start keeping better track and see if I can find any pattern.

You can twist perceptions, reality won't budge.

I've got one crash too, but couldn't reproduce either.

Please, if possible, try to send me any crash details the system provides. Thanks.

I'll focus on it here too!

LUNA PreRelease 5b has been uploaded at the same download links, thus replacing PR5.

If you have already downloaded PR5, then download PR5b, and just copy the application file to your PR5 setup.

This is what's changed:

* Tuned: If no effects in plugin database, then no "Effects" group is listed, as there is nothing to list
* Tuned: The word "Strip" is replaced by "Rack"
* Tuned: By default, the first POST slot is halfway the Rack

* Fixed: Cut+Copy empty text caused a crash
* Fixed: Selecting "None" for a Rack Slot removed the plugin, but did not delete it.

Dave, do you remember what you were doing at the very moment of that crash.

I'm thinking about this, also about what mahtazz wrote, and i suddenly start suspecting something.

At the moment of the crash, did you just closed a popup menu or popup edit field?

I have installed a Virtual Midi port.

The port name appears in the list but after I select it, it doesn't appears in the box out name.
