Kai VejaR wrote:Jo, when will CMusic be updated to get 'on par' with the new Luna version(s)?

Kai
That also depends on Computer Music.
Please elaborate! :?: :?: :?:
Hopefully we can find an arrangement. One that is good for them and good for MUTOOLS.
Hmmm, sounds ominous...! :?
"Ominous"?

Had to look that up, i'm not a native english speaker.

Looks like quite a negative word, right?

Anyway, let the sun shine :)

All i want to say is that i must make a living too.

And i can only hope that CM is interested in upgrading CMusic.

Why are you so interested Kai?

If you really want to have a more powerful version of LUNA FREE, then why not obtaining a LUNA Unlimited User License? 29 euro is not too expensive, right?

And that includes a full year of free updates!

Cheers,

Jo

I assume it's in Dutch similar as in German - if so the way Kai used the word it would probably better be replaced by 'obscure' to give the sentence the meaning which was implied... :-)

(i.e. the word is rather used to express a feeling of confusion than a hostile one)

And I've nothing much planned in! Time for some fun with racks... :D

Wow.
I've been following this since about June or so and it's really looking good.
You're doing a fine job.
One of these days I'll even download it and try it out.
(lately I've been baffled by Tracktion, and if I'm confused by that, then there's not much help for me)

But, just a quick note to simply say congrats.

And, the other links to it work, but the link to the "introduction" from the "products" page is broken. The one where it says: "For a more detailed introduction, click here."
Just so ya know.

That would be good, in terms of them offering their readership a solid product; it certainly seems that the improvements from PR3 (which you said was ~= CMusic 1.5) to PR5 are pretty substantial.

Time to D/L PR5c and play.

I thought you were English :o
Let me clarify: I used 'ominous' in a sense of impending doom or trouble. I didn't mean it in a negative way.

29 Euro is a good price indeed :) But I have little or no experience with internet transactions. Credit card data can easily get stolen or hacked. I know it's all via secure connections, but ... those servers can get hacked too! :scared:

Maybe I should be brave and try to order it..

Speaking from personal experience, I don't think this need be your concern. My wife and I have made many, many purchases over the Internet from a broad spectrum of companies over the last few years. Never a problem. OTOH, when we traveled from US East Coast to Aus / NZ, someone, probably in the LA airport, made off with one of our numbers and started making purchases somewhere near San Francisco, thereby depriving us of the use of one of our cards in the middle of our trip.

My advice: pick one credit card and make all of your Internet purchases with it, so you can easily keep track. And take the plunge. I certainly don't think security of your credit card is a serious obstacle to registering LUNA if you're otherwise so inclined.

How do I route my MIDI Input to a Rack Synth? (When recording MIDI In, the part captured is targetted to the target of the selected part, similarly to in PR4. For the time being, I'd be happy to have to click a part to set the MIDI In target -- but it's not working!)
<edit>Well, I tried it again whilst trying to reproduce a crash and it's working! :?</edit>

And now, a couple of bugs:

#1 Set up an audio part
#2 Set the part's target to audio out
#3 Delete the part -- the top-right panel still shows the part details
#4 Try to change the part's output using the panel: no go!
#5 Try to change the audio file using the panel: the details now disappear

-----------------

#1 Extended loop end while playing back an audio track
#2 Removed mda vocoder
#3 Inserted MrTramp
#4 Crashed

Could not reproduce but I got an audible glitch the second time.

Feature request: in the key editor, when I select a note, can the value 2 for that note "come to the front" (where there are multiple notes at the same time), please?

Post

Feature request: Can we have "New rack" and "New VST Synth (in new Rack)" targets in the part panel, please :).

Dammit, crashed.

(log file not yet uploaded: GoDaddy appears to be down!)

CM-505, daHornet and Delay Lama VSTis, and rather more else than I can remember for effects. The VSTi's had a rack each. CM-505 and daHornet routed to a common rack. I was extending the length of the CM-505 part whilst playback was running. Given I'd already done this a few times, I'll say "not reproducible" even before I try!

And I hadn't saved the session .

Yes that would be nice! :)

+1 (+10?) I'd generalize this slightly: when any notes are selected in the key editor, their corresponding value 2 points should also be selected / highlighted for easy access & editing. Tracktion does this in its MIDI editor and it's an invaluable aid to making value 2 editing easier. I believe that the way it works in Tracktion, if a note or notes are selected then only those notes' value 2 points are editable, which seems very reasonable to me.

One more feature request... (Reviving an old one for PR6 ;))

Can we have the MIDI In panel back, with each port*channel having the same routing choices as a Sequence Part, please? You could hide it under "Edit->MIDI In Routing" so it doesn't clutter the simple user interface.
