Hi,

im loading about 3-4 instances of zebra in sonaR 6 PE and everytime i play or stop a track parameter in a patch change, ie detune jumps from 0 to 100 or envelope values change or sometihng similar.

is anyone experiencing similar problems in sonar or other DAWs?

advice/assistance would be much appreciated...

cheers, peace

Hi, there's a simple solution:

(I'll improve this for next update, due in a few days)

hopefully deleting that file will not affect zebra in any other way!! :)

another thing zebra 2 might benefit from is a grid that you can toggle on and off in the waveform editor diagram.

also when writing patch names in zebra/sonar 6 PE keys used in sonar 6 will not type in zebra. ie spacebar, w and r in sonar toggle play, stop and record and will not type in zebra.

just thought you might like to know

but otherwise thank you for a synth that out of this world!
keep up the good work!!

Hey,

Nah, the file is just the mapping of midi ccs.

A grid in the Waveform editor has been requested quite often... I'll think about it for a future update...

Well, as to keys being intercepted by the host... some hosts simply do this and I can hardly do anything against that. I have chosen for best user experience in the way that I use standard Windows controls but therein obviously lays the problem... hmmm...

Hi Urs,

everytime i delete the file it comes back to haunt me in the support folder and the problem persists?

any suggestions please?

cheers

Delete while no instance is open (i.e. all hosts are quit).

It will be created anyway, but usually without any assignments inside...

I'll release Zebra 2.1 tomorrow which will open a context menu on right-click, so that accidental MidiLearns shall be prevented. In the long run (maybe April/May update) accidental Midilearns will be history because of a new concept that's gonna be implement.

Just so you know, with Sonar 6 you can pass the keystrokes through. There's a toggle on the upper-right corner that will allow you to fully use your keyboard with in whatever plugin window you have active. (It's the little things they think of that keeps me so happy.)

So, in terms of Sonar 6, Urs, don't sweat a fix.

FYI - Tried to delete the midimap with the host closed, the file recreated. Even tried to delete just the data inside file, data recreates. In case this might still be affected in the update

Yes, as Urs said, Z2 creates that file on launch, with default or empty assignments. Did you problem stop now?

no problem still persists

Hmmm, what happens when in Version 2.1 you right-click the detune parameter and MidiUnlearn it?

Could it be that the MidiCC Assignment is *not* within Zebra but in Sonar?

Does Sonar have a switch to "reset controlers on play" that can be turned off?

Can you send me the com.u-he.Zebra2.midimap.txt to urs[at]u-he[dot]com?
