I know, this is so sad. Brilliant talent. I've never met him but a lot of musicians I know have played with him. He will be missed. I think I even have him as a friend on myspace which is... well, just more to be sad about I suppose. Although the one thing you can say about someone like this is that they have left a legacy of music behind that lives on forever. Not a bad way to have lived!

No way.. 
I knew he was constantly struggling with leukemia, but now it's actually taken away this immense talent and advocate of virtual wind instrument and sound synthesis (Akai EWI player).
I'm dismayed and disheartened.
MY thoughts are with his family. I will be having a 'Brecker' night on YouTube this evening in remembrance of the great talent.
