Thanks you all for your interest. The product should be released next week. The pro version will come a few weeks after.
Needs some more thinking...
That is s something we are thinking about, but there are some technical restrictions due to the fact that the plugin window is onwed by the host. Further more, once your window does not respond to clicks anymore, how do you close it or modity its opacity? Now if it had a Always On Top feature that allowed me to see the analysis and still tweak buttons directly beneath it.. that would be killa!!

Looks awesome, but I don't know if I got this right: the freebie version is just mono? (i js saw the "mono version preview" under the image)
And the pro stereo?
Its early in the morning so my brain is kinda slow

No, the freeware version will contain both mono and stereo.Looks awesome, but I don\'t know if I got this right: the freebie version is just mono? (i js saw the mono version preview under the image)

The Pro version will include a Mid/side version as well, and it will allow you to reuse frequency information to control other effects thru automation or MIDI CC, like our other analysis tools + some other features...

well, the dividing of the frequencyspectrum is done via a whatever count of bands. these bands do have to have a slope of course... ?Blue Cat Audio wrote:Thanks for the hint brok landers. What are you calling "slope" in this case?you know the slope

thats not the point, the slope of course should be the same for each band, depending on how many bands are used to analyze the frequency spectrum ... i just find it to be more controllable/understandable/comftable with bargraphs ... but hey, that might be only me ... i find the bargraph methot easier to read, especially when crosschecking between 2 different songs/mixes ...

Wow, looks very nice. Spectral analysis is one of the only areas I've never found a VST that is really satisfactory, so I look forward to trying this
Have you considered adding a 3d waterfall style view? I would love to compare snares or percussion sounds viewing the freqs as they evolve over time for example.

There are plans for a 3D waterfall view in the pro version. But 3D support will probably not be ready for the very first version.swivel wrote:Have you considered adding a 3d waterfall style view? Unfortunately, no. We are still Windows-only. But it could change during the year, depending on how fast we are able to migrate to OSX.Lagrange wrote:Is this plug OSx compatible??

Hi Blue Cat - do you suppose you might put some freq band-limiting controls on there, kind of like you use on the dynamics side-chain. I'd like to be able to output midi control for a certain freq range sometimes. Thanks for considering this. -Kyle
