When using an MMix to modulate (sum), it seems that the maximum value can be passed - effectively "wrapping around". I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but here's a patch to illustrate what I mean: http://stashbox.org/10116/EnvMMixBug.fxp
Notice how Env2 is added three times in MMix1. Listen how the tuning bounces up and down several times.
I was expecting it to just go from very very high (at least to some kind of ceiling) then down to the default tuning of Osc1.
And I misunderstanding something here, is this the way the modulation should work?

Indeed! Just saw that extreme modulations on osc pitch can push it beyond the borders of precision and then the pitch "wraps" around, but at a different exponential scale... easy to fix, has been in all my plugins (they are all using the same algorithm to calculate the pitch).
Thanks for the ideas in the other threads. Will think about them!
