Hey guys, simple question, but I can't figure out how to delete, rename, or move my user presets in Z2. Is this possible?

Thanks!

Do you know how to move, delete and rename files on your computer? Then you know how to do it... ;)

Each patch is an individual file, so go to
/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2/ or
~/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2/

and manipulate/organise your presets as you'd like.

Hmm... on a default Windows installation, it doesn't quite install that way. It's more like this:

C:\Program Files\u-he\Presets\Zebra 2\

It creates this on your system drive, so if D:\ is your system drive then that's where it will install. It is independent from the actual *VST* installation and does not prompt you.

Otherwise beej is correct, the individual presets are files that you can copy, delete, and rename as any other file.

I'm on OSX, so that makes perfect sense. There's no way to do this from within Zebra2 though?

Yep - but he's on a Mac, I recognise him from OSXAudio, so I didn't bother with the Windows explanations... :)

Nope. As generally file handling is taken care of perfectly adequately by the finder, Urs didn't see it necessary to do that in the plug.

No way from Zebra...

I found this odd at first, but now I like it a lot. It is really easy to move folders, delete multiple presets at a time, and so on.

What I do (Windows PC) is put a link to the patch folder onto my desktop. After moving/renaming/deleting there, I flip the directory in Zebra to update the list.
I guess everyone is doing something similar...

If it's that easy in Finder, I definitely like that method too. I didn't even think of doing it that way, thanks.

I have a folder full of my music aliases which means that my plug folders, preset folders, song folders, instrument folders, sample folders, impulse folders, logic settings folders, rough mix folders and all the other places that have music-related content I need to access are just a double click away.

Stick it on the finder window left hand side and all your useful stuff is accessible without having to navigate through the folder hierarchy too much. Works for me, anyway!
