I need to re-tune about 50 samples that are 1/4 tone high. I got great results using Audacity, but just realised that it erases the loop points in the samples when I re-save the tuned file (audacity still doesn't support loop points).

Any ideas on Open Source/Freeware apps for this? My sampling workflow includes Wavosaur, Audacity and ESC at present. If there is no alternative, I will re-tune the samples and then re-loop them again :( .

Thanks.

Can't you set the base (root) note including a cents offset in your sampler??
We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated. Image

I'd rather change the actual samples, as they will be freely distributed, and I want people to be able to usethem in any sampler they want (without having to tweak all the tunings).

If you arent worried aboot timestreching you could try Yamaha's TWE Wave Editor v2.31... Actually never tryed pitchshifting in that one and no batching...

great, forgot about that one, I will give it a try now.

As for Gtune, that measures the tune, but doesn't help me adjust it. I use Ctune instead of Gtune, I find it more accurate.

Sorry not free but I'd have to say that Adobe Audition is the best because you can batch process the files with a script...
