Just discovered that MFM2 Beta is out!
Already downloaded and tried.
It looks really great (though too dark for my old eyes)
Going through the presets give a good idea of what can be done but ...
Ich blicke nicht durch!

Is there maybe some documentation available?

PS:
To be able to reset the value with CTR click is really nice :)
But I still could not find a way to type numbers :(

Post

I've tried just some minutes ago:

:hyper:  :-o :drunk:

Hehehe, it's pretty freaky, isn't it?

I'm sorry, but in my plugs there's no typing of numbers. That wasn't requested in years...

Regarding documentation, this is one of my duties during the u-he business holidays...

Cheers,

;) Urs

Well, there was at least one request last year:

OK, I'll be patient then :)

I find the "Big Reverb" preset absolutely amazing and all the Tasmodia presets simply unbelievable.

Best regards

Hehe, thank you! :D A good bunch more will be in the final when it comes out. Until then, have fun with the preview. :)

I wondered why there are only 9 presets ...
the preset subfolders (HHafner, simon B, tasmodia) are not detected!

MFBM2 looks very complicated, a bit like the logic instruments. But should be tried out...
I don't use ES2, sculpture & co., they look too scientific...

So far I've only gone through the presets. I tried changing some params, but wasn't really sure what I was doing.

I ran percussion loops, drums, and melodic stuff through, and really loved the results.

Started a new track based on using MFM2...with a little Zebra 2 as well.

As the Captain said, "Let your wallets flop out!"

WOW!!!! I LOVE IT!

I just discovered it yesterday afternoon and lost about 6 hours playing with it.

I must admit that at first I found the interface a little daunting, but after I had spent about an hour with it I had figured out what was going on. Once you understand it, it's really not too complicated. And the things it can do!

I have also started a track with it, so far the track has two instances of MFM2, two Z2's, filterscape Q6 on the drums and another filterscape on my guitar! It may have to be called U-HE heaven. lol.

Sweriously though well done Urs on yet another awesome plugin!

Urs,

You have this habit of releasing plugs that lead to the drastic slimming of some part of my vst plugins folder. FS and Z2 both caused me to delete a lot of other plugs, and this looks like it's going to have the same effect. Perhaps you should be in the diet business :)

p.s. any plans for a u-he loyalty discount?

Working on that... (well, unless sitting at some beach or something in sunny Australia, that is :hihi: )

Yeah, I've so far only had a few flips through the presets, I haven't really started to process the gui yet, so I haven't really formed an opinion.

What can it do over and above regular delays - I actually find Logic's two delays cover 99% of my delay needs, and probably the only other plugin delay I have is Waves Supertap, which is pretty average really.

What am I missing out on?

Subtle modulation of delay time would be one thing...

Or, in "1+2 into 3+4" matrix, set delays 1+2 to triplets, 3+4 to quarters and 3+4 inputs to zero, 1+2 outputs to zero - now, try to replicate in any other delay plugin...

this is just another candidate for a multi-out (3 outs) plugin :-)

Somehow plugin developers seem to only live in a line (stereo: one dimensional space) and not in space (lefevbre "production of space" interpreted by steff :-) ) .... lalala ....

:-)

Probably many of them don't have a surround system hooked up?

I agree, this would be an useful addition - not for myself currently, but I can see it for others.

Yes, yes and yes!
Multi out!
At least one out for each delay line.
Delay and surround can be a wonderfull combination.

And ... I do find Stereo so flat compared to surround!
